Nutrition improvement project
purpose
- Provide essential nutrients necessary for maintaining the health of vulnerable pregnant women and infants in the form of supplementary foods, and cultivate self-health management skills through continuous nutritional assessment and education.
Target
- Pregnant women and families with infants and toddlers whose income is 80% or less of the median income among residents of Dongjak-gu
- Pregnant women, women who have given birth (up to 6 months after giving birth), breastfeeding women (up to 12 months after giving birth), infants and toddlers (under 72 months of age)
Service provision period
- Up to 1 year within the qualification expiration period (6 months for re-participation)
Services provided
- Nutritional assessment including body measurements, anemia tests, and nutritional intake status surveys (6- month intervals)
- Support for supplementary foods such as rice, powdered milk, potatoes, carrots, eggs, and milk (1-2 times per month)
- Customized nutrition education and counseling services (once a month)

Selection criteria
- Selected if the standard median income is 80% or less and at least one nutritional risk factor (anemia, growth retardation, obesity, malnutrition, other factors, etc.) is present.
Application documents
- Common submission documents (can be viewed electronically when filling out the prior consent form for shared use of administrative information)
: Resident registration copy, health insurance eligibility certificate, health insurance payment certificate - Additional documents to be submitted for the relevant person
- Pregnant women: Maternity handbook (expected date section) or pregnancy confirmation document
- Basic livelihood security recipients, low-income earners, single parents: certificate
- Leave of absence, including childcare leave: Certificate indicating paid or unpaid leave and period of leave
- Separated family register, multicultural family: Family relationship certificate

- Dual income: The spouse with the lower health insurance premium is only 50% of the total premium.
- If you have been on unpaid leave for more than one month, you will be treated as having no income.
- In case of paid leave of absence of more than one month, the calculation is made by multiplying the most recent monthly salary by the employee's share of health insurance premiums.
- Childcare leave allowance, retirement allowance, etc. are not calculated in the monthly salary.
