Nutrition improvement project

purpose

  • Provide essential nutrients necessary for maintaining the health of vulnerable pregnant women and infants in the form of supplementary foods, and cultivate self-health management skills through continuous nutritional assessment and education.

Target

  • Pregnant women and families with infants and toddlers whose income is 80% or less of the median income among residents of Dongjak-gu
  • Pregnant women, women who have given birth (up to 6 months after giving birth), breastfeeding women (up to 12 months after giving birth), infants and toddlers (under 72 months of age)

Service provision period

  • Up to 1 year within the qualification expiration period (6 months for re-participation)

Services provided

  • Nutritional assessment including body measurements, anemia tests, and nutritional intake status surveys (6- month intervals)
  • Support for supplementary foods such as rice, powdered milk, potatoes, carrots, eggs, and milk (1-2 times per month)
  • Customized nutrition education and counseling services (once a month)

  • Phone reservation (☎02-820-9585, 9586) → Visit application (nutritional assessment) → Qualification review → Notification of selection results

Selection criteria

  • Selected if the standard median income is 80% or less and at least one nutritional risk factor (anemia, growth retardation, obesity, malnutrition, other factors, etc.) is present.

Application documents

  • Common submission documents (can be viewed electronically when filling out the prior consent form for shared use of administrative information)
    : Resident registration copy, health insurance eligibility certificate, health insurance payment certificate
  • Additional documents to be submitted for the relevant person
    • Pregnant women: Maternity handbook (expected date section) or pregnancy confirmation document
    • Basic livelihood security recipients, low-income earners, single parents: certificate
    • Leave of absence, including childcare leave: Certificate indicating paid or unpaid leave and period of leave
    • Separated family register, multicultural family: Family relationship certificate

※ Amount excluding long-term care insurance for the elderly

  • Dual income: The spouse with the lower health insurance premium is only 50% of the total premium.
  • If you have been on unpaid leave for more than one month, you will be treated as having no income.
  • In case of paid leave of absence of more than one month, the calculation is made by multiplying the most recent monthly salary by the employee's share of health insurance premiums.
  • Childcare leave allowance, retirement allowance, etc. are not calculated in the monthly salary.

  • Purpose: To prevent disease and promote health through customized nutritional management, education, and counseling to improve nutritional problems for each target group.
  • Basis: Articles 10 and 11 of the National Nutrition Management Act
  • Target: By life cycle (infant, child, adolescent, adult)
  • Content: Operation of a customized nutrition management business for each life cycle

      • - Providing fruit and nutrition education to improve nutrition for vulnerable children and adolescents

      • - Support, education, and counseling for healthy eating habits to prevent disease and promote health
    • Dongjak-gu Health College's Dietary Lifestyle Management Capacity Improvement Project
      • - A 16-week program for healthy eating habits to prepare for a healthy 100-year life.
    • Project to create an environment for low-salt, low-sugar consumption
      • - Operation of a salinity meter support program for residents
